Get Together Group Trinity Get-Together Group was formed 10 years ago by the younger women of the Church. It is an open, informal group sharing fellowship, friendship, support and social activities. Meetings are monthly on different nights to allow flexibility. The annual programme is planned by the members; activities include guest speakers, theatre/cinema visits, guided walks and ‘Nosh Nights’. The Get-Together Group shares in Trinity fund-raising events and also supports community projects in Manchester. CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) Cameo is a ladies group which has changed over the years. It was originally called the Ladies Fellowship and celebrates its 40th birthday in 2005. The group meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday in the month. There are speakers, social evenings, meals out, trips, craft evenings, religious meetings and services. Each year we fundraise for a different charity, this year we have supported the local charity, Stockdales. Our membership is ladies only and all are welcome to join us. You do not have to be a member of the church to be a member of Cameo. We are a thriving group which has grown considerably in the last two years. Wednesday Fellowship This is a group for ladies which meets every Wednesday afternoon from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm . The programme includes visits from guest speakers and musical events. Choirs or soloists entertain us. The group was founded 1934 and this year celebrated its 70th Anniversary. Membership is open to all in the local community. Men’s Meeting The Men’s Group is open to all men who wish to participate in a mixture of talks and visits to places of interest and is run jointly with Sale Moor Methodist. The group meets monthly and the venue alternates between the two church premises. Monday Diner The luncheon club is open each Monday from 12 till 1. The meal is freshly cooked on the premises by a team of volunteers. This facility is valued by a wide range of local residents who enjoy a good meal and an opportunity to meet with friends. Trinity was the first Church in this locality to offer a luncheon club. It has been in operation now for eleven years and has gone from strength to strength, providing 30+ meals each week at a very reasonable cost. Trinity Members Rambling Group This group meets once a month and undertakes walks that are around 6/7 miles in length over varied terrain, making the most of the scenic counties that surround Manchester. |
